At a meeting with the Naphill Common Nature Society today, Wendy Campbell and I saw activity high up in Birch trees at Naphill Common [a few miles north of Wycombe in the Chilterns], followed by a short flight across the ride into a large Oak opposite, from whence it was not seen again: we waited 20 minutes. Wendy and Mick Campbell had discovered iris at this spot last summer; the first records from this wood.
