It may (initially) only be 7 amino acids, but early indications from data recently obtained would implicate that his majesty has a Pheromone-Binding-Protein (PBP) homologue. You heard it here first. More to follow...
Now way beyond 7AA's and according to Zhou (2010), what I have defined is certainly NOT just a member of the GOBP classification of Odorant Binding Proteins.
Pheromone, androconia (albeit well hidden), PBP and essential links to male sequestion I think that is hook, line and sinker. Post behavioural assays, publication awaits! Job done!
