Lead a field trip around Abbotts Wood inclosure today and after a rather dull and uninspiring first couple of hours the weather bucked up and three males were seen in one oak tree at a triangle in the woods, plenty of flights when the sun appeared at about 12:25. Two males were seen together less than two feet apart and they started chasing down the ride obviously getting too close! We walked back to the car-park and at 1443 we saw another three males all chasing each other in the vista of the Assembly area of the car-park...so (6) males so Alice really has kicked off!
