Apatura ilia f. ilia, male.
A good showing this year from the deckchair in the back garden.
Up to 8 A. ilia in the air at any one time. This year f. clytie is only showing at about 10%.
We have seen 3 or 4 Apatura iris including one female crashing about in the Salix.
This is not unusual. A. iris is never as common as A. ilia at our house.
