In spite of the many sightings this weekend, very little activity high in the trees, no territorial behaviour and hardly any oak edging or sallow searching. We saw almost exlusively rapid low level flights, or 'up and overs', apart from a few females which were content to sit around in the oaks and sallows.
Why so little 'up on high' activity?
