Upper Thames until 17th July

It has been a joy to read all the reports which have appeared on this website during the last few days, indicating that this is not such a bad season after all.....just very late [about 2 weeks late]. However, the numbers here in Upper Thames are still well below 'normal'. By the 17th July we recorded just 43 sightings from 7 woods; by this date in 2011 the count was 204 !!
