Savernake Kicks Off

5 mins of glimmer late on in yet another dreadful glowering day produced the first Savernake male of the year, launching himself belatedly at a pair of Crossbill a couple of seconds after they'd passed (Dead Beech Glade).  The butterfly may have started there on Thurs.

Sav has the habit of producing very late males (7th Aug in all recent years) so it will be interesting to see how long the season runs there this year...
